DIRECTIONS

From 24W (Contra Costa County):
As you come through the Caldecott Tunnel, head toward San Francisco. At the Hayward/Stockton-San Francisco split, follow signs to SF but stay in the far right-hand lane and take the Market St./San Pablo Ave. exit (immediately after the split). Go straight as you come down the offramp; you will be on 36th St. Go one block to San Pablo Ave.; turn left and proceed for two blocks until you reach Filbert St. Make a soft right onto Filbert (at the school crossing sign) and go 1-1/2 blocks to the corner of 30th St. The entrance to the studio's courtyard is on the left side of the street.

From 80W (Berkeley, Richmond, San Rafael):
Follow 80 West to the 580/SF split. Take 580 towards Hayward/Stockton and be in the far left-hand lane before the split, to take the first left-hand exit off of 580; this will be the MacArthur Blvd/San Pablo Ave exit. Follow signs for San Pablo Ave and go straight; at the second corner a barrier will force you to turn right, onto Adeline. Stay on Adeline for four blocks, to 32nd St.; turn left onto 32nd. Go three blocks to Filbert St. and turn right. We are at the corner of Filbert & 30th St. The entrance to the studio's courtyard is on the left side of the street.

Alternate way by city streets (Berkeley & points north):
Take San Pablo Ave. south, passing from Berkeley to Oakland to Emeryville. You will pass through the following major intersections: Ashby, Stanford, and Adeline/West MacArthur. Stay on San Pablo until you pass beneath an overpass (you are now in Oakland); two long blocks after this you will come to Filbert St. It meets San Pablo on the right at a soft "10 o'clock" angle just after the school crossing. Make a soft right onto Filbert and go 1-1/2 blocks to the corner of 30th St. The entrance to the studio's courtyard is on the left side of the street.

From 580W (Oakland, Piedmont, Castro Valley):
Take the West St./San Pablo Ave. exit (just after highway 24) and go straight as you come down the offramp; you will be on 36th St. Go two blocks to San Pablo Ave. and turn left. After two blocks, make a soft right turn onto Filbert St. (at the school crossing sign) and go 1-1/2 blocks to the corner of 30th St. The entrance to the studio's courtyard is on the left side of the street.

Alternate way by city streets (Oakland downtown):
Go west on West Grand, heading toward the Bay. Make a right at San Pablo Ave. and continue north to 30th St. (just after the Market St. stoplight). Turn left onto 30th St for 1-1/2 short blocks to Filbert St.; turn right. You will be turning around our building. The entrance to the studio's courtyard is immediately on the right side of the street.
